Once again, Rare Indigo was bestowed a prestigious 2019 Canadian Event Industry Award (CEIA) this time for “Most Outstanding Event over $200,000”. Conceiving a “Farm to Table Gala Dinner”; Rare Indigo pitched what might appear on paper, an unglamorous venue: North Arm Farm – a working farm, located in Pemberton (45 minutes from Whistler), Canada. The financial client loved the idea of taking their event to an unexpected rural setting for their lavish gala. No event of this scale or grandeur had been attempted before at this agricultural venue.
Instead of their typical posh, the client embraced lush country elegance and was dazzled by Canadian mountain vistas an intimate pastoral setting, a private music festival, a separate children’s program, and a locally grown, epicurean organic menu. As a weather contingency, the assigned seating dinner for 500 guests was served under a brilliant clear span roof 30X300’, (just shy of the length of a Canadian football field!). Continuing Rare Indigo’s track record of remarkable excellence, Rare Indigo’s strenuous production involved masterminding operational and infrastructure needs fulfilling Provincial legislative working farm regulations; spanning several months planning and culminating in a precise 3 day set up. “Our Rare Indigo team inspired and quarterbacked an army of suppliers to design and deliver a glorious gala that juggled a maelstrom of technicalities and unrivaled demands,” boasts Vivian Tsogas, President.
As if transporting 500 to Pemberton with a limited supply of motor coaches wasn’t daunting enough, exquisite onsite catering was essential as well as multiple décor companies were needed to produce the Michelin affair. In this accomplishment, Rare Indigo met and far exceeded the client’s expectations by executing sumptuous mountain magic with a festival evening to include the colossal assigned seating dinner.
